You can now manage which users have access to an organization in Vom and what they can do. This new functionality can be used to implement a review process, or to grant read-only access to teammates.
Once a user is added to Vom, they will be able to access the tool by logging in with their organization account (for example, a Google or Microsoft account), and will have the permissions assigned to them.
The permissions are straightforward, but the Approver permission is worth explaining a little more. A policy version can only be promoted (i.e. put into production) after it has been approved. So the normal flow is that someone with Policy Editor permission creates a new version, an Approver approves it, and then the Editor promotes it. The image below shows an already approved version (note the ✔ ) that can be promoted.
In cases where the same person has Approver and Editor permissions, they do not need to explicitly approve the version and can promote it directly.
User management will be very useful for teams with a more complex structure to use Vom in a safe way that is consistent with their company's processes.
